About Us

It is in the heart of God to raise orphans and help those in need. We, the founding members of Holy Home for Orphans and Needy Center Uganda, are privileged to be involved in this humble task. We know this is something that could not be accomplished without the help of friends like you, and we hope you will partner with us to give these children the future they deserve.

Holy Home for Orphans Centre Uganda is a non-governmental, independent, charity Christian organization in Uganda. Our organization is non-denominational, and has no formal relationship with any one church, but instead seeks to interact with all churches, as well as all those who share the same vision. We help children regardless of race, religion, or sex, by providing all with education, medical care, and ensuring their basic needs are met.

We provide spiritual guidance and counseling through camps and seminars that are organized to teach them the word of God, life skills, and values based on biblical principles. Currently, the Holy Home for Orphans Centre Uganda, is running a sponsorship program including plans to build a school and clinic on five acres of land that we have. This will cater to the orphans and needy while also benefitting the local community. The clinic will provide services such as HIV-AIDS counseling, primary health care, dental, immunizations, family planning, community training, and general medical care to the community of Eastern Uganda. The land is also intended for commercial projects to increase self-sufficiency including a bakery facility, and farming in both crop and animal husbandry.

The Problem

Poverty, at its most extreme form is destitution. It’s trying to survive without every day essentials like food, water, or shelter. For Uganda, that’s the reality for almost half of the population, they live without most basic needs being met. Ugandan children cannot begin to imagine a life out of poverty. With help from others, a sponsor or a gift can create lasting change for the children and youth in these communities, through providing access to food, medicine, health and dental services, education programs, sanitation services and more.

In families and homes struck with illness, help is needed to take care of a relative, and girls are often the first ones taken from school to look after the ailing. The death of a parent can lead children into unsafe labor practices where they may be forced to work long hours under dangerous conditions in exchange for goods. Some are sent away from home, exposing them to various forms of trauma, stress, anxiety, and depression. This can lead girls to further vulnerable, ultimately sending them into sex trade as the only means to earn living. This in turn, increases the exposure of yet another generation of youth to HIV/AIDS.

At Holy Home for Orphans and Needy Centre Uganda, we bring hope to those in need. To the good samaritans, we humbly request your support.
